Urinals

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005Unfinished Thoughts

I can hold a lot of liquid, definitely more the average man. This of course means that urinal time is also much greater (unfortunatly). What I really hate though is how urinals have this enginous system where it never let’s the amounts of liquid pass a certain point. So I’m there staring around for a good amount of time while doing my business and then when I look down I see just this tiny amount of liquid there… its so unsatisfying.

Protected: Instant Messaging: Part 1

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005Unfinished Thoughts

Individuality. In instant messaging sentences are primarily non-existent and even fragments would be too much to ask from conversations. Every person, through time, develops their own style. Style being not only the individual’s grammar but also one’s mood and tone (which are conveyed in the choosing of words and symbols). In this manner an identiy is created, and one grows to believe that he/she is in an individual, for he/she is not following a convention. Yet that is not the case. The moment one talks to someone with a different style, he/she eventually adopts something off of that person. It may be a word or a phrase, but something is always left behind.

Protected: College as the Colosseum

Tuesday, November 15th, 2005Unfinished Thoughts

In the 21st century Coliseums don’t exist as in the ancient days of the Romans – where men battled to their deaths while being watched upon by the luckier, free, citizens of Rome. Today we call such practice, College. Where instead of having gladiators fighting against wolfs, today we have students fighting battling exams and all other challenges that one might encounter the in the vast space of the college grounds.

It is not easy to be selected to be a student. Out of the millions of potential students waiting to be enslaved by college only the finest and most (mentally) fit are choose for such professions (ie. full time college students). The process and training is long (such as Princeton Review and High School), and many die along the way but those who do survive are honored to be taken into College. Once in College, there is no way of foreseeing the future. Some get lucky and are taken to luxuries Colleges where they will be pampered with all sorts of nice things, and some are taken to the slums of the city where conditions are below the poverty line – yet in the end the challenges will all be of equal difficulty.

All the training is not enough to survive through college and only the strongest survive

Protected: Beauty of innocence

Friday, September 30th, 2005Unfinished Thoughts

The more I see and in a way try to understand them I come closer to the conclusion that the most beautiful that has been created thus far in the universe is innocence. Innonce is the capability to see with no method, to have no expectation to live without prior or future knowledge. It is in this state that you see the eyes glitter with marvel, not because one sees in innonce something beautiful but rather because it sees for what it is. What is seen is not processed with any method nor pre-conceptions. However it is in this proccess that one ends his innoncence. One is always bound leave innoncence behind. Similar to how death gives value life, innonce gives value to youth.

To see eyes move rapidly, not knowing what to expect behind the next manifold of the concrete society created by non-innocent people is a sight to see. A sight that only the non-innocent can appreciate. For one remembers his innonce, but the innonce cannot see it. For the innoncent to see his innonce would make him non-innoncent

Step aside, she’s passing by
With a goal in mind.
To see the world,
To soar up high, like a kite with the clouds.

Passers by step aside,
Careful not to hurt her pride.
In being kind,
In being nice, she wins her ways in every fight.

But sooner then,
Or later now,
She will meet someone of her might.
Like the last two pieces in a chess game,
Two towers to protect the –

The pawns that have fled,
The bishops in their ships
The king or queen now in graves.

And the towers will stand,
Not budging more than a step a time.
So step aside for you’ve been warned,

Protected: Pride

Monday, August 9th, 2004Unfinished Thoughts

It’s an interesting fact that people tend to use me as punch bag for their extra anger. Amazingly I don’t mind it at all. Insult me all you want, criticize my life all you want, I could care less. I really don’t see why fight back, after all words don’t hurt. And what about Pride?

Pride gets you nothing in life, when was the last time you said to yourself “I couldn’t have done that without my pride”. I don’t think I have ever used pride in anyway, shape or form. Maybe pride makes one happy with themselves (pride is synonym to ego)but aren’t there betters ways of doing that. I think there are; like doing what you enjoy with no goals in mind, like staring at the sky, reading for fun, or simply talking to someone special with no topic or purpose in mind. Pride gives one the feeling they don’t get in what they currently do. Maybe because their intentions are not for joy but for gain. I suck at a lot of things (too many to even mention) but what I do well (or simply like doing regardless of quality) is enough to make me happy making pride obsolete.

This is my humble opinion not meant to harm/insult anyone in anyway. Pride is part of a person and so I give the same respect to one’s pride as I do to the physical person.
