Protected: Day in NYC

5.29.04

Nothing like going so early to New York that you are the first person in the store that day. I was up earlier than I wanted to be, so I was in NY by 10am. For the first time I managed to get lost and ended up in areas where I definitely stood out from the crowed. That was interesting to say the least. First stop was the Mac store, after drooling for hours over all the cool computers I picked up new headphone, it’s sweet. Than walking around I went into a store that only sells wrapping paper, so I purchased 2 sheets. You never know when you have to wrap a present ::cough cough:: Buying paper is fun but nothing can be compared to buying shoes and clothing.

First stop: Puma. I was looking over the shoes and talking to the sales person and I commented that my 2 month old puma shoes were falling apart, so guess what he gave me a 80% discount on the same type of shoe! So now I have 2 puma shoes a black and a dark blue one (they didn’t have red or lime-green ones that would fit me). I can’t wait to find an occasion to wear them. Than I went to look for clothing (I didn?t buy anything) Banana Republic simply isn’t enough for me. Zara (cheaper than you would think) was nice although stuff doesn’t really fit me except for sweatshirts which I have enough of. FCUK was really cool, I love their clothing except that I would never wear a shirt that says “FCUK High School”. Ralph Lauren was nice except that I don’t go around spending $200 on a pair of underwear. But the store was really nice and the people treated me like I was going to buy something. Usually they ignore me since they can see from very far away that I don’t have $200 to spend on socks. I guess that’s a good sign about how I look. All of this was done before 12 so I decided to take a break at a really nice coffee shop. If I had seen the menu before hand I would have never gone in. Let’s just say that a cup of hot tea was $20, but it was worth it. Than I got on 5 different subways to see the best store in all of NY, they sell chocolate. Yes, the best chocolate I know (and probably most expensive). I was the only one there so I got to try different ones before buying. Now I must admit I went over the top, I got champaign truffles that are worth more than many school lunches put together and are less than 1 inch in size, oh but they are sooo good. If you want to taste what good chocolate is just ask me, I have quite a few of them. I also got something else at the store…

So that was my day in NYC, every time I go I seem to have more fun except for the fact that I always go alone since my parents are so slow and ALL my friends have restrictive parents. Someday… Someday I tell I will have company…
