Music of 2004Entertainment

Thursday, December 23rd, 2004

I seem to switch my musical tastes every month, but from all the crap that I listened to (from techno to Hillary Duff) this is what I found to be the best albums that I discovered this year (some albums are old but just new to me). Funny thing is that if you were to ask me how many of these CDs I actually payed for I don’t think I really paid for a cingle one (I feel guilty).

Songs that I listened to over 100 times:

Bands that I liked before turning big this year:

  • Silbermound (Germany)

Simply the best of 2004. Ironically the stuff I listened too also reflected my mood so I decided to put it in chronological order too.

  • Winter to Spring
  • Snow Patrol: Final Straw
  • Coldplay: Rush of Blood to the Head
  • Keane: Hopes & Fears

  • Spring
  • Maroon 5: Songs about Jane
  • Norah Jones: Feels Likes Home and Come Away with Me
  • Dido: Life for Rent, No Angel and White Flag

  • Summer
  • Hoobastank: The Reason
  • Stereophonics: You Gotta Go There to Come Back
  • The Strokes: Is This It
  • Ben Folds: Rockin’ the Suburbs, Ben Folds Live, Ben Folds Five, Whatever & Ever Amen, The Unauthorized Biography Of Reinhold Messner, and Still Fighting It

  • Fall
  • Eve 6: Eve 6, Horrorscope and It’s All in Your Head

  • Fall to Winter
